Optum Mental Health Support (UHS members)

Optum is opening its Emotional-Support Help Line, providing access to specially trained mental health specialists to support people who may be experiencing anxiety or stress following the recent developments around COVID-19. Optum’s toll-free help line number, 866-342-6892, will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for as long as necessary.

Counseling and Psychological Services (UC students)​

Address: 225 Calhoun St. (transitioning to teletherapy)

Contact: 513-556-0648

Services Offered: Brief, solution focused individual therapy, group therapy, outreach, and emergent care. First 3 sessions are free. Call for an appointment. They are open but have transitioned to teletherapy. If you have already initiated services your counseling appointments will continue through telehealth. There may be a slight lag in getting new clients started while the CAPS counselors undergo additional training in telehealth. 

For crisis services available 24/7, call CAPS at their normal number "513-556-0648" and then press 1.

Let's Talk (UC students)​

Services Offered: Web-based free and confidential access to clinicians from UC CAPs to listen to your concerns and to offer support, information, and resources. Sign up hereCurrent appointments only extend through 12/1.

Services Offered: Professional mental health services with priority scheduling for medical students. Cost varies by insurance. Currently switching primarily to telehealth and limiting in-person sessions when possible.

Therapy Assistance Online (TAO)

TAO is an interactive, web-based self-help program that provides online and mobile tools to help you overcome the day to day challenges around stessors like anxiety, depression, or other concerns.
